If you’ve followed our blog updates, you may know already we’ve announced that we’ll release several magazine themes, and Compass is the first one of them.
Let’s take a look on the most notable features of the new theme.
Draggable Slideshow with Touch support
The Homepage Slideshow from this theme is very easy to use, not only on devices with touch enabled where you can swipe easily through posts, but also on desktop computers, where you can drag with the mouse too.
Supercharge the theme with Jetpack
It’s not a secret that Jetpack includes some great and useful features, so we decided that instead of packing the theme with numerous features that may not be needed by everyone and keep the theme as simple as possible. Features like Related Posts, Tiled Galleries, Lightbox Carousel, Email Subscription can be easily activated from Jetpack and are free to use.
Configure everything with the Live Customizer
In the Customize page from WordPress Dashboard you can configure almost every detail in this theme. You can easily change the Logo, Menu, Header Color, Theme Background or even Fonts and Colors.
It’s even easier to configure the Featured Categories widgets on Homepage directly from the Customize page, as you can have a preview of your site next to it.
