I had mentioned that I would be using a Sony A7 and a Sonnar T* FE 35mm ƒ/2.8 ZA lens during my upcoming trip back to the Southern Tier (where, never fear, I shall be blogging happily, and snappily, away). However, there was a SNAFU—of course, because that is what the SN in SNAFU stands for. The package was unfortunately shipped Signature Required, and (SN!) UPS failed to find me home three times in a row, so now the A7 and its wonderful lens are winging their way back to B&H in NYC. Alas and alack and double alack.
Ya hate it when that happens.
So there's been a change of plans. I'll be traveling armed with the Fuji X-T1 and the 23mm ƒ/1.4 XF lens (note instant savings of $200 on this lens effective today). So hopefully I'll have some things to say about that during my week+ away.
(A coincidence, but note that there are some BIG savings being offered as of today on some of the juiciest Fuji XF lenses—$200 off in a number of cases. These aren't the slow sellers, either—the deal includes not only the stellar 23mm but $150 off the amazing 56mm.)
