Ctein in Paris

[Note: TOP's Technical Editor, Ctein, has not fallen off the face of the earth. He's just been very, very busy administering print sales for TOP, finishing up the novel he's jointly writing with John Camp, and dealing with the ongoing remodeling of the former darkroom and garage space. (He says the contractor's been telling him it'll be done in two weeks—for three weeks now!) Expect new columns from him in the fall. —Mike the Ed.]

In August, I'll be taking a well-deserved vacation with my frequent traveling companion Bayla Fine. The two of us will be in Paris on Monday, August 11. Yeah, one whole day in the City of Light. You take what you can get.

If some Parisian reader would like to organize a get-together with me for that evening, I'd be delighted to meet anyone who wants to come. I don't speak French, and can barely read it, so it will need to be an Anglophone gathering. (That shouldn't be a problem for anybody who can read this.) Any of you Parisians wish to volunteer to be the coordinator for this?

Now for the big question: if someone had one and only one full day in Paris, what would you suggest they do with it? Unfortunately I cannot magically exchange it for a week. It's one day or nothing. So, what should Bayla and I do with our day?
