I'm continuing to really like the Fuji X-trans sensor for black-and-white conversions. I've set the viewfinders to B&W too, with the "yellow filter" setting, and I don't mind shooting that way.
Still too early to say I can consistently get the kind of files I want—the kind of look I want—from the Fuji X-T1, but it's continuing to look good so far. (This was taken at ISO 2000.)

P.S. Note that I have very definite preferences about what I want my B&W to look like, but I'm not saying all B&W has to look that way. That there are a great many tonal interpretations possible is one of the satisfying things about B&W.
