I've been waiting for the big introductory day to mention the hot new Fuji XF lens, officially (and magisterially) called the Fujinon XF 50–140mm ƒ/2.8 R LM OIS WR. The last two mean image stabilization and water-resistance (meaning: withstands some rain, but don't soak it in a bucket). The lens is Fuji's answer to the classic fast professional medium-long zoom, for many years a staple of most professional photographers' kit bags.
So when I went to bed last night it was still in "Pre-Order" status at Amazon and B&H. This morning, Amazon had some...but not any more. Sold out. They're gone.
B&H is still not listing them as of this writing, so if you want one soon, get over there and get in line.
This will be the hot ticket in XF lenses for a while. Early reports and especially the almost incredible MTF charts are glowing. I'll write more about it later, but for now I want to get this post posted while it's toasty.
I gotta get up earlier....
Mike
